Most people, myself included do a little research before they make a major purchase. Some read reviews, others check out available options or colors and still others find pictures and read blogs just to name a few. Hyundai just made it easier with a new website:http://hyundaimomentum.com/ . Recently a lot of people have had good things to say about Hyundai but instead of just taking Hyundai's word on this they made it easy to find all on one website. This should help everyone in making their car buying experience anxiety and stress free. All the information needed to make an educated decision in one place. I checked this site out my self and its pretty easy to use just hove your mouse over each page thumbnail and it gives you a quick preview , just click on it for more info. I would love to hear customer feedback on what they think of this page.
Please feel free to email me at dhart@dutchmillerauto.com and let me know what you think.

Hyundai Elantra
Well we are finally starting to see some 2010 models and the one that peaked my interest the most is the Hyundai Elantra Blue. Blue is Hyundai's version of green. Anyways its not only a great car but with the improved fuel economy its better for our enviroment.
From AOL Auto review:
2010 Hyundai Elantra Blue 4dr Sedan Overview
The Hyundai Elantra is an economic compact car with handsome styling and nice lines. It has excellent interior space and standard safety equipment.
The current generation Elantra can seat up to five and has very accommodating trunk space. Three trim levels are offered: Blue, GLS, and SE. All use a 138-hp, 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine. A five-speed manual transmission is standard issue on the Blue trim, while a four-speed automatic is standard on the GLS and SE trim. Safety features on all Elantra models include four-wheel anti-lock disc brakes with electronic brake-force distribution, frontal airbags, front side-impact airbags, side curtain airbags, and active front head restraints.
For 2010, the entry-level Blue trim has been added. Also, the front grill and rear garnish are visually refreshed.
NHTSA Frontal Crash Test
NHTSA rates crash-tested vehicles by assigning them one to five stars, with five stars indicating the most injury protection and one star indicating the least protection.
Driver Front: 5 Star
Passenger Front: 5 Star
Priced lower then its competitors, which includes the Chevy Cobalt, Ford Focus, Toyota Corolla and the Honda Civic it also offer Americas Best Warranty. All this makes the Elantra a great value.
As always if it doesn't say "Dutch" you'll pay way to much.

Hyundai's most successful month
Hard to believe but Hyundai is coming off their most successful month on US soil ever!!! Sales volume was 60,467 vehicles up 47% with Accents and Elantras leading the way. Also in the news, Hyundai Group (which includes Kia) rose to the number 4 spot, passing Ford. Not to shabby for one of the newer players in the game. They may be newer to the scene then some of the others but they have a lot of exciting products coming down the line.
The highest card in Hyundai’s hand is their new upcoming Sonata codenamed “YF” which will be introduced as a 2011 car, and of course, manufactured in Montgomery, Alabama (as well as other places for the rest of the world). The car was styled at Hyundai’s Irvine, California, studios, though it is uncertain how much of the development work was done at their Ann Arbor, Michigan, engineering center.
This car is Hyundai’s biggest seller in North America, and it is the bread and butter of the line, competing with the heavy hitters of the industry, including the Toyota Camry, Honda Accord, Nissan Altima and Chevrolet Malibu, among many others.
Another thing that Hyundai is talking about is the upcoming Sonata Hybrid using new lithium polymer batteries. The technology is not copied from either Honda nor Toyota, but is to use Hyundai’s self-engineered six speed automatic transmission with a powerful motor-generator between the transaxle and the direct-injection four cylinder engine
All in all its an exciting time to be a Hyundai owner and a Hyundai Dealer.

Cash for clunkers
Well I haven't posted in a while but had a lot of things going on in my life. My brother passed away the day I getting ready to go on vacation, so instead of a vacation it was spent making funeral arrangements. With the sadness came the memories which my large extended family talked about until the wee hours of the night. With all that said I'm back and I'm excited. The cash for clunkers program is rolling out and I feel like all the handouts that have been done for big business the Government is finally getting ready to take care of the people who put them in office. There is a lot to this program and I've been trying to get a handle on it all to make sure I can answer your questions. So I am ready to help you through the process, and so is Hyundai. They are helping us get up and running before the official launch of the program. The Hyundai Family of cars are also ideally suited for this program with the majority of its vehicles helping to get the most out of the program. So if you have questions please feel free to call me or email me and I will try to help you through the process.

Review of the Week- Hyundai Sonata
This week I'm going to review the Hyundai Sonata. I could just use my words because I am a Sonata owner. I bought this car for my wife last year to replace my Toyota truck and we went with a Sonata GLS 4 cylinder. She loves it and even lets me drive it some times like when it needs gas or its due for an oil change. Seriously we love the car and I recommend this car to all my friends and family members that are in the market. Okay lets see what kind of reviews it has.
What Edmunds.com says
With a brand-new interior and improved engines, the 2009 Hyundai Sonata re-establishes itself as a serious contender in the cutthroat midsize family sedan segment. It should definitely be on your shopping list.
2009 Hyundai Sonata Vehicle Overview
Introduction
They say imitation is the highest form of flattery. But what happens when the imitator becomes better than the imitated?
For years now, Hyundai has had its sights set on Toyota. The Japanese giant's strategy for its vehicles is to make them reliable, impeccably made, conservative in style and comfortable to ride in. Hyundai has taken that approach to heart, and the 2009 Hyundai Sonata is proof positive that it has gotten it right. In fact, not only has the updated Sonata caught up to the mighty Camry, it's driven past it.
For 2009, Hyundai's midsize family sedan sees several key changes. Both the four- and six-cylinder engines have received an influx of power, while raising fuel economy at the same time. That's worthy of a thumbs-up any day. The biggest news, however, resides inside. While this generation Sonata's original cabin was hardly an environment worth shaking a finger at, Hyundai was never pleased with it from the get-go. This year's complete makeover performed on the center stack, gauges and center console has led to an overall design that is more user-friendly and better looking. Materials have also been improved, while the top-level Limited trim boasts a tasteful blend of color combinations, wood-grain accents and alloy trim. To be frank, this is the Lexus-lite interior we were expecting when Toyota's all-star was last redesigned. Hyundai has delivered it instead.
When the Hyundai Sonata was redesigned three years ago, it gave the top family sedans a run for their money -- in fact, we ranked it over the Accord and Camry in a 2006 comparison test. Since then, both of those rivals have been completely redesigned, as have the impressive new Nissan Altima and Chevrolet Malibu. The changes for 2009 bring the Sonata back closer to par. Although we're not sure it's still the class beater, the case can certainly be made that Hyundai has built a better Camry than Toyota did. Perhaps the imitated should become the imitator.
All this from edmunds.com, they sound pretty impressed as will you after you drive it, no matter what trim level its a GREAT car.

Hyundai Elantra Touring

The Elantra Touring is in the news again. This time in an article from Jenny White of the NY Daily.
The perfect mix: Hyundai Elantra combines popular features from many vehicles
by Jenny White
Tuesday, June 2nd 2009, 4:00 AM
The Elantra Touring has all the makings of a hit for Hyundai.
With the best parts of a sedan, wagon and hatchback combined into a great-riding, roomy and attractive vehicle, I’ve found the next car I want to buy.
Remember those books when you were a kid, in which you could mix and match body parts, (head, torso and feet) to make funny concoctions like a police officer with horse legs and a cowboy hat on? That’s what the Touring Elantra is like.
Up front, it looks like a sporty, small hatchback. Inside, in the rear seats, it looks and feels like a midsize sedan, and the cavernous rear cargo area is like what you’d find in a wagon. It’s the best of three worlds.
The 2009 Elantra Touring is powered by a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that produces 138 horsepower and 137 pound-feet of torque. These 138 horses work hard to give the Elantra Touring a get-up-and-go takeoff.
A five-speed manual transmission is standard; a fourspeed automatic is optional.
Gas mileage is great in the Touring. I got a whopping 25 miles per gallon during the week I drove the Touring — on the highway and in city traffic.
As good as the drive is in the Touring, the real selling point is inside the cabin. As a hatchback, the Elantra Touring provides a surprising amount of space. According to Hyundai, it can hold a maximum of 65 cubic feet of space, which is twice that of a Mazda 3 and a few more cubic inches than many compact SUVs.
Some standard features include air conditioning, tilt/telescoping steering wheel, power windows and door locks, heated mirrors, remote keyless entry, eight-way adjustable driver’s seat with lumbar support, a 172-watt AM/FM/XM audio system with six speakers and fog lights. USB/iPod auxiliary inputs are also standard.
The Elantra Touring comes fully stocked with antilock disc brakes with brake assist, traction and stability control, front-seat side airbags, side-curtain airbags and front seat active head restraints.
In government crash tests, the Elantra Touring received a perfect five stars for its performance in a frontal collision and four stars in a side collision.
The price tag for the Elantra Touring is a reasonable $18,500, less than most of its competitors.
The press on this car has been pretty favorable and if you come in to drive it you will quickly see why. Mention this blog when you buy your New Hyundai Elantra Touring at Dutch Miller Hyundai and your first oil change is on me.

My Car of the Week
I'm going to start something new and cover 1 car a week.
This week its the Hyundai Elantra.
First lets see what Edmunds.com has to say:
2009 Hyundai Elantra Vehicle Overview
Introduction
If you're reading this, that means you've stumbled upon the 2009 Hyundai Elantra. Good for you, because like Aladdin discovering the lamp inside that giant sand cavern, the Elantra represents a rewarding find among a variety of seemingly more tantalizing choices. Although compact sedans like the Honda Civic, Mazda 3 and Toyota Corolla get most of the attention from car buyers, the Elantra manages to match or even beat these little big boys at their own game, while featuring a lower price and a longer warranty. It's certainly a diamond in the rough.
For starters, the Elantra is the most spacious vehicle in the compact sedan class -- it's so big, in fact, that the EPA classifies it as a midsize. This can best be experienced in the backseat, where a high-mounted bench, generous foot room and ample head clearance make it an easy fit for full-size adults. The front seat also provides an impressive amount of space for taller drivers, given that competitors are often inhospitable for those north of 6 feet. The trunk and storage cubbies are also sizable.
On paper, the Elantra's engine is unremarkable. It's a 2.0-liter four-cylinder with 138 horsepower and a heavy iron block. In the real world, however, it's surprisingly responsive and fuel efficient, with only a somewhat agricultural engine note at high rpm being a distraction. Once under way, the Elantra continues to impress with a smooth ride and confidence-inspiring handling. As long as you opt for the Popular Equipment package, even the lower trim level GLS cossets its passengers with a generous amount of features and a handsome, well-built cabin. In short, this Hyundai feels much more expensive than it is.
Now in its third year, the current-generation Elantra carries over with only the addition of a new USB/iPod audio jack, redesigned gauges and radio displays and enhanced suspension and steering tuning (although we never really complained about either). All said, the 2009 Hyundai Elantra continues to be one of our top choices in the compact sedan category -- especially for buyers who prioritize space and comfort over a fun driving experience. If your priorities are reversed, you should check out the Mazda 3. And if you're somewhere in the middle, try the Honda Civic. But no matter where you think you may land, congrats once again for stumbling upon the Elantra. We can't promise a genie, but you should at least be pleasantly surprised.
This is a pretty good review and this car comes at a great price and has some good programs to help it fit in your budget.
If you are looking for a mid-size car at small car prices the Elantra she be on your list.

Hyundai Genesis

It just keeps getting better and better.
The 2010 Genesis Sedan named "Best New Model"
The 2010 Genesis, Hyundais flagship car has been named the "Best New Model" by Kiplinger's Personal Finance. The editors of the renowned magazine selected best new vehicles in 11 categories and put the Hyundai Genesis sedan on top of the "$30,000-$45,00 sedan" category ahead of the Nissan Maxima, Audi A4 and Acura TL.
" Picking this car as a standout was easy. As the first true luxury car from Hyundai, the Genesis earns its name. The exterior may remind you of other luxemobiles, but its simple lines, sleek interior and Euro driving dynamics will impress all but the most hardcore snobs." said Mark Solheim, automotive editor, Kiplingers Personal Finance.
The Genesis Sedan which is available with a choice of 3.8L V6 or the award winning Tau engine, is the perfect blend of luxury, technology and advanced safety features. Being named a Best New Model by Kiplinger's Personal Finance is a testament to its combination of exhilarating performance, sophisticated design and tremendous overall value.
This car is a testament to where the Hyundai brand is headed, and just another reason why I am pleased to be where I'm at. To experience the the ride call and schedule a test drive with Ernie, Les, Billie or Jason.

Hyundai Elantra Touring
From Edmunds inside line:
Managing Editor Donna DeRosa says:
Hyundai continues to impress with its well-groomed lineup of inexpensive new cars. This adorable small hatchback offers a grown-up ride with a responsive engine, smooth five-speed manual transmission and sure-footed handling.
Running around town was a pleasure. The Elantra is very easy to drive. Mundane weekend errands were actually fun. With 65 cubic feet of maximum cargo capacity, the Elantra Touring holds all kinds of weekend gear and beats the pants off its competition.
I happened to drive this back to back with the new Honda Fit, which is not as long as the Elantra Touring but similar nonetheless. The Elantra has a larger-capacity engine and a much more refined drivability all around. Not as athletic as the commensurate Mazda 3, but sporty enough to not be boring.
Passengers appreciated the comfortable and spacious interior. There are generous amounts of head-, leg- and wiggle room for a small car.
My only beef was with the so-so stereo. My music sounded surprisingly tinny. Considering that our test car came with six speakers and a sophisticated iPod hookup, I expected better sound quality.
The Elantra Touring is a perfect commuter car: decent fuel mileage, enjoyable drive, carries lots of stuff, passengers won't complain, under $19,000 price tag. I call that a bargain.
Not to bad of a review, I don't quite agree with her on the stereo and the feedback we have gotten from the customer doesn't either but overall great marks from Edmunds.
Where alot of manufactures are cutting back Hyundai is surging forward. We finished with a great month in April and are looking forward to a very good May
Thanks for all of your support.

New Month---New Incentives--Same Great product
Well today might be April Fools Day but buying a Hyundai is never a fools bet. Once again Hyundai is leading the pack and everyone is following. The list of new rebates is out and no drastic changes but they made the Low APR program better with 0% on a bunch of vehicles AND you still get almost the whole rebate. Just a teaser but I've got a big sale getting ready to kickoff. Stay tuned for further details.

Hyundai Sonata
Hyundai Sonata- 143% INCREASE!!!!!!
February Trend Engine report shows that Korean automaker Hyundai’s Assurance Program may be paying off. The automaker started off 2009 with an aggressive marketing campaign promoting its Assurance program, which allows a buyer who loses his or her job to return a newly-purchased vehicle with no affect to credit. The program has been highlighted on Super Bowl and Oscars ad buys and through online media buys on sites like AutoTrader.com that directly target in-market car-shoppers. As a result, in February the Sonata midsize sedan saw interest rise 143% over February 2008, pushing it from 82nd to 20th place among all new vehicles viewed on AutoTrader.com. Additionally, interest in Hyundai as a manufacturer doubled year-over-year, making Hyundai the 7th most-viewed new car brand on AutoTrader.com in February. ATLANTA – March 3, 2009 – AutoTrader.com’s
“Hyundai’s Assurance Program shows that there is still an interest in buying cars, and that the challenges in new-car sales are in-part driven by uncertainty around the economy,” said AutoTrader.com President and CEO Chip Perry. “While most manufacturers have been scaling back marketing activities, Hyundai has been one of a handful that has instead increased its spend, allowing it to communicate compelling messages on-line and in traditional media about the Assurance program and the Genesis luxury sedan’s recent selection as the 2009 North American Car of the Year.”
Its easy to see why Hyundai is gaining momentum. The Mid-size Sonata is very affordable but when coupled with a $2000 Consumer rebate AND $1500 loyalty incentive, thats' an almost unbelievable deal

Hyundai: America's Most Successful Car Company
From a Time Magazine article: Hyundai is now the most successful car company in the U.S. and it has the numbers to prove it. It has come up with a way to sell cars to people who fear that they will be homeless and it works.
Most large car companies posted more significant unit sales drops in February than analysts expected. GM (GM) only sold 268,737 light vehicles. Three years ago, that would have been its take for the July 4th "cash back" weekend. Ford (F) moved 96,044 units, off 48% from the same month last year. As usual, the Ford PR department did what it could to misdirect and dissemble. Early in its statement about last month's sales, Ford pressed the case for how fabulous it new products are. The most important announcement the company thought it was making was that Ford will introduce the new Fusion model during American Idol. It tells Ford's shareholders how out of touch the company's CEO Alan Mulally is. He can be forgiven. He used to work for Boeing (BA). (See pictures of the remains of Detroit.)
The only privately held member of The Big Three, Chrysler, did better than expected. Sales were down 44% to 84,050. Honda (HMC), Toyota (TM), and Nissan all had results down about 40%.
Hyundai sold 30,621 vehicles in the U.S. last month. That is more than half of Nissan's sales which dropped to 54,249. And, Nissan has been a prominent brand in the American car business ever since it was known as Datsun.
Most consumers don't know that Hyundai sells cars. Most Americans don't know that Hyundai exists at all and virtually no one knows where the company is based. The brand does not seem to show up in JD Power customer satisfaction or Consumer Reports rankings.
Hyundai's U.S. car arm is a tiny piece of a Goliath of a company based in South Korea. The firm owns mines, petroleum assets, machinery manufacturing operations, and electronics factories. It also builds commercial tankers that are as long as several football fields. Hyundai Motors has simply out-marketed its competition in the U.S. It builds good cars, at least based on auto reviews. The company's flagship, a four door war-wagon called the Genesis, was named the North American Car of the Year. The beast only gets 17 miles per gallon in city driving, but it is targeted at the affluent, even though their numbers are dwindling. The model competes with the large sedans from BMW, Mercedes, and Lexus. Hyundai seems to have dropped a nice vehicle into each of the major slots in the U.S. car market. It sells a nifty entry-level coupe and has a mammoth minivan called the Entourage. It markets SUVs and small sedans. They don't have any more or less cheap plastic trim in their interiors than a Honda. They are simply serviceable cars and trucks that probably won't break down.
The genius behind the Hyundai approach to selling cars is that it has caught on to a way to get people into showrooms during the worst recession in decades. Every other auto company of any size has a line of vehicles as diverse as Hyundai's and all of its competitors have more recognized brands. But when Hyundai did a bit of research about car buyers it found that 50% of people thinking about buying a car or truck were resisting the urge because they might lose their jobs.
Hyundai took what appears to be a big risk. If someone buys one of the company's cars and losses a job, Hyundai will make the payments for three months. For people still in a bind at the end of that period, the firm will take their cars back.
Making the offer takes a lot of guts. It would seem to be a significant financial risk.
But, as GM and Ford are finding out, losing 50% of monthly sales isn't risky. It's fatal. If The Big Three are each going to loss $1 billion to $2 billion dollars a month, they might as well do it selling cars to people who are likely to get fired.
It is a shame that the most effective car marketing program in America comes from a Korean company.

Why were Hyundai sales up in January?
Hyundai was one of four brands - Kia, Smart and Subaru were the others - whose sales increased in a dismal January. Hyundai sales rose 14.3 percent compared with January 2008. Acting CEO John Krafcik credits the Hyundai Assurance Program and the North American Car of the Year award for the Genesis Sedan. The Assurance program, which allows customers to return vehicles if they lose their jobs, is attracting shoppers.
"we think it responsible for a 10 to 15 percent incremental increase" said John Krafcik Hyundai Motor America acting CEO.
Sound to me like a good time to buy a Hyundai.!!

New Car Tax Incentive
As you may have recently read in the media, President Barack Obama signed the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act on February 17th. The legislation was approved by the Congress, in part, to provide an additional stimulus to the US economy. Among the many provisions in the legislation, there is a measure that may directly assist new vehicles sales. We wanted to make sure every dealer was aware of the new rule and could maximize it to create sales.
Specifically, the stimulus package allows for the following:
§ New vehicle buyers may deduct “any state or local sales excise tax” for new cars purchased through December 31, 2009;
§ The deduction applies to new vehicle purchases up to $49,500 (or to that portion of the purchase price, if the cost is in excess of that limit);
§ To qualify for the tax deduction, an individual must make less than $125,000 or a family must make less than $250,000;
§ The deduction is “above the line” and can be taken by both itemizers and non-itemizers.
I believe this new vehicle sales tax deduction fits within the sweet-spot of our buyers. Along with our solid Hyundai product story and the Assurance program, this tax incentive provides you with another reason to purchase a new Hyundai. I encourage you to contact Billie, Ernie, Jason or Les as soon as possible.

Hyundai + Quality = Value
Hyundai and quality?!! A few years ago people wouldn't have used those two words in the same sentence. But, my how things have changed. In the latest Consumer Reports magazine the Hyundai Genesis ranked Number 1. That is higher than the Lexus ES 350, Toyota Avalon, Acura TL and the Nissan Maxima. The Hyundai Azera Limited (Hyundai Previous Flagship automobile)ranked in the 6th spot in the Highly Competitive "Large Upscale Car" category. This not only puts a feather in their cap, but shows their commitment to quality. Not only with the quality of these two upscale vehicles but also the rest of their fleet. With their commitment to provide the consumer with safety and quality for a low price makes the whole Hyundai line an extremely good value. For years we heard the slogan oil and vinegar will never mix but with Hyundais'hard work over the years Hyundai and quality will no longer fit into the category of things that don't mix.

Loyalty loyalty loyalty
Hyundai's theme right now is "LOYALTY". Both ways, they are trying to be loyal to their customers and are rewarding the ones that have been loyal to them. They have some incredible programs. The message at least to me is that the people that believed in Hyundai and bought cars when Hyundai was growing are being rewarded with loyalty incentives. So come down and see my staff Ernie, Billie, Les and Jason and bring your title or registration to qualify for your Incentives. As my own personal incentive bring a copy of this blog and when you buy a car from one of my sales people and your first oil change is on us. Valid for the month of February

Radio Commercials
I had to do a couple of radio commercials this morning with Tom Roten from WVHU 800 AM for Dutch Miller Hyundai and if you have never done this, its harder then it looks. Of course Tom made it very easy, I can't wait to hear them. I will say that it was kinda fun and for me its easy to get excited over the products we sell as I beleive in them. I had a customer over the weekend that came from Charleston and the last thing she told me before she left is that "we were worth the drive". So if your reading this and wonder whether its worth coming to Huntington Wv to buy a car, I would have to tell you the answer should be a resounding YES. Remember "If it doesn't say Dutch your paying way to much.

New or Used???
I took a couple of days off to follow the inauguration and all the hoopla, but now it back to grindstone. The biggest question that most people have to ask there self is whether to go New or Preowned? You can find good values in both though sometimes you can get more car(read more goodies) for the same money just with a few more miles on it. Try to do your homework about your budget and have an idea where you want to be payment range. If going used, try to be at least a little flexible in color and options, but don't be afraid to ask for what you want. Most dealers go to auctions on a regular basis and there is usually a very good selection of vehicles for them to chose. HAVE A GREAT DAY!!

Buying a car.... there are some incredible deals out there for the person thats in the market or just looking to get the most bang for there buck. Where to look.... look at car companies that will be around, to service their vehicles to stand behind their product, to stand behind their customers!!! Hyundai is there. Americas best warranty, 2009 Car of the Year and the Hyundai Assurrance program. Used cars, you can buy a used Hyundai that has more factory warranty left then what someone elses car comes with brand new. This also helps it retain it's value. Make sure you drive what ever you are looking at, make sure it meets your needs.
Please feel free to contact me if I can be of any assistance in your buying process.

Trying to buy a car and not having alot of luck? Banks and lending institutions have gotten a little bit bit pickier on the deals they are approving HOWEVER... the biggest thing that helps get them off the fence is EQUITY. Now you ask how do I get into an equity position well thats easy trade or cash. Cash shows a bank that you are willing to invest in yourself, that you believe in your ability to repay the loan. Cash can sometimes be hard to come by but for most of us, hopefully anyways we are going to get a tax refund. Dont be afraid to invest some of this money in getting yourself a new or preowned car. A car loan is one of the fastest and easiest way to improve your credit. REBATES... alot of people think this is their downpayment and it does help but they still like to see cash out of your pocket.
Bottom line don't be afraid to invest in yourself.

Can you get financed with bad credit?? YES YOU CAN.
Is it a little harder then it use to be?? Yes it is.
How ever banks and lending institutions are still lending money. They have to, its the only way they can keep making money. They are just dotting the I's and crossing the T's. Banks know that bad things can happen to good people and are willing to try to give them another chance. Things you will need: Current paystub dated within 30 days, phone bill, utility bill(showing your current address, dated within 30 days)

WOOOOHOOO Car of the Year
WOOO HOOO Hyundai Genesis just named North American Car of the Year by a panel of 50 independent jounalist. Like the old Virginia slim commercial use to say "You've come a long way Baby"
"Genesis represents everything we've learned, so far, about engineering great automobiles -- and we're delighted that the judges have recognized the good work of our R&D teams," said John Krafcik, Hyundai Motor America acting president and chief executive officer. "And we're not stopping here ... Genesis will share company in Hyundai showrooms this spring with its rear-wheel drive platform-mate, the Genesis Coupe."
This is a pretty good feather in Hyundai's cap, the jurors considered 50 new vehicles and chose the Genesis. Speaking of which I have 3 instock.

Hyundai Assurance Program creating a buzz.
Hyundai's Assurance Program is a novel approach to the car buying experience, they understand consumers' hesitance to commit to large purchases in today's economic environment. Great cars, Great Car Company.
Hyundai Motor America announced today an unprecedented program to protect consumers in this uncertain economic environment. Beginning today, Hyundai is providing a complimentary vehicle return program for the first year on every new Hyundai that is financed or leased for owners who experience an involuntary loss of income within 12 months of the purchase date. The "Hyundai Assurance Program" expands the protection offered through "The Hyundai Advantage: America's Best Warranty," which has provided 10-year, 100,000-mile powertrain protection to Hyundai owners for a decade. The Hyundai Assurance Program is complimentary for one full year, covers all Hyundai models and is available to everyone.
"We understand consumers' hesitance to commit to large purchases in today's economic environment," said John Krafcik, acting president and CEO, Hyundai Motor America. "Ten years ago, Hyundai's industry-leading warranty provided peace of mind to consumers about Hyundai's quality and reliability. Today we're extending that peace of mind to cover consumers' employment status and personal finances."
The Hyundai Assurance Program, the first of its kind for an automaker in the U.S. auto industry, allows consumers to walk away from a financing obligation when certain adverse life events occur, providing protection from financial shortfalls that arise from vehicle depreciation (negative equity) up to $7,500.
The Hyundai Assurance Program complements America's Best Warranty as standard protection on new vehicles financed or leased from a participating Hyundai dealer, and supplements all existing consumer incentives. The program is available to any consumer, regardless of age, health, employment history or financed amount of the vehicle. The program is complimentary for the first 12 months of the financing or lease date for vehicles financed through Hyundai Motor Finance Company and other third-party lenders and financing sources. Covered circumstances include:
-- Involuntary unemployment
-- Physical disability
-- Loss of driver's license due to medical impairment
-- International employment transfer
-- Self-employed personal bankruptcy
-- Accidental death
Consumers must have made at least two scheduled payments on their loan or lease, be current on all payments and pay for any outstanding balance above the $7,500 benefit amount which results from negative equity. Once the benefit is approved by the Hyundai Assurance administrator and the customer pays any outstanding balance, the customer returns the vehicle to the selling dealer, whose appraisal is factored into the valuation formula, and the consumer avoids further financial obligation or negative impact to his/her credit. The dealer is then able to remarket the vehicle.
For more details about the Hyundai Assurance Program, please visit http://www.HyundaiUSA.com or http://www.HyundaiAssurance.com.
HYUNDAI MOTOR AMERICA
Hyundai is no stranger to aggressive promotions. The 10-year, 100,000-mile warranty it introduced a decade ago helped overcome concerns about the reliability of its vehicles.
"Hyundai has a history of making unprecedented moves when necessary to try to get people into the showrooms," said Karl Brauer, editor in chief at Edmunds.com.

Great Payments on GREAT CARS
Since 1961, you’ve known the name “Dutch Miller” has meant getting a great deal on a new or pre-owned vehicle in this area. You see the license tags all over town. When they added Hyundai to the family many years ago, Sam Miller not only brought you America’s Best Warranty – a full 10 years, 100,000 miles, he also brought you the best VALUE in the car business. Do all the research you want on the internet, in the car magazines, or the vehicle ratings services…you’ll find that Hyundai has better vehicles, with better gas mileage and a better warranty….all for thousands less than the competition. I’ve driven them and I can vouch for it. You’ve got Sonata’s as low as $268 a month, Elantras starting at $208 a month, and Accents as low as $178…..there’s even zero percent financing and thousands of dollars in rebates on many Hyundai models. And at Dutch Miller Hyundai Sam’s even got the deal-making Storf, Dan Hartmanstorfer, running around thinking that everything you trade in should be worth at least 3 thousand dollars. All this sounds incredible, right? Good deals all over the place? Interested, but want some more? Well, here’s the kicker, you can’t make a mistake, because Dutch Miller Hyundai is offering you something no one has ever dared before. Purchase a new Hyundai, and if you lose your income, you get physically disabled, you get transferred overseas, any of a bunch of things that would hurt you and your family financially….and we’ll let you simply return it. We’re in it together. That’s peace of mind. That’s Dutch Miller Hyundai, 1202 Washington Avenue. That’s why everyone knows that if you don’t shop Dutch, you’ll pay way too much.
Hyundai, Its a product I believe in, I own one and love it.
Please feel free to contact me with any questions on buying a car, even if your doing it somewhere else.

Car buying tips and Special Finance programs
Trade Ins: Don't let anyone tell you different, a clean car will normally get you more for your trade then a dirty unkept car. Think about it this way you are trying to sell the Dealership your car, would you want to buy my car if it was dirty nasty and full of trash hadn't been washed or waxed in forever? The tires low, oil hadn't been changed in a long time. How much value do you lose in this case? So the bottom line is clean it up like you were selling it to an individual, make me want to BUY this car from you. For more tips please feel free to contact me.

Hyundai Assurance
This is my first post, so please pardon me while I learn. I wanted to start a blog so that I could get the word out about Hyundai products on a personal level. Todays post will focus on a new product just announced on January 2nd. Its called Hyundai Assurance and the quick overview on it is that Hyundai is the first automaker to offer a vehicle return program in the US. It allows you to walk away from your loan or lease without having to worry about negative equity. It lets you turn your vehicle into the dealer in the case of certain life altering circumstances. I was a bit skeptical when I first started to read about it and wondered what the catch might be but I don't see a catch, they give it to you free for the first year of ownership. For more information please feel free to email me at dhart@dutchmillerauto.com call at 304-529-2301 or instant message at dutchmillerdan@yahoo.com
